Here at Hazelwood, we seek to be people with a passion for God and for his word. We believe that the Bible is God’s revelation of himself to man, divine in its inception and inerrant in its execution. With hearts that desire to see and experience the glory of God, we seek to pour ourselves into that revelation so that with hymnwriter John Newton, “When we see thee as thou art, we’ll praise thee as we ought.”
We also have a strong belief in the sovereign and free grace of God, and so we seek to be obedient to “preach the gospel to all creation.” Though the grace of God is beyond our full comprehension we rejoice that we have been blessed to hold “this treasure in jars of clay,” and we seek to be good stewards of the grace and forgiveness that we have received from Christ.
At Hazelwood, we hold to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our primary doctrinal statement.
